Beginning of a new day at Bournemouth Beach.
Quite awe inspiring photos. My first thought was of when the Spirit of God hovered over the waters in ‘Creation’. Such a strong sense of brooding, and I don’t mean sadness, but deep thoughtful movement over the waters. The colours are awesome too, so rich. Thanks Ian.
Great colours, but I have to say it gives me a sense of menace and brooding….
Hi, thanks for the comment. It was a very wild morning, there had been gales through the night but the sky and sun was impressive. I tried a black and white image with a hint of blue which looked interesting. I then went back to the original image and tried an increase in contrast and lifted the saturation level which brought out the subtle colours already in the image, compared the two images and preferred the colour image. I was always a Black and White person but since using digital cameras my love of colour has increased. Ian.
Well, I have to say, I’m glad you went for the colour…
Great shots, love the contrast between dark and light….
Hi thanks for the kind comments. It had been a very stormy night but the sky and sea were very impressive that morning. The bracing wind, cold, and shoreline walk had to be offset by a full english breakfast with two fried eggs.
