The Grand Pier at Penarth, South Wales.
That IS grand! The first photograph is terrific … love the benches 🙂
It is now very impressive with all the renovation work now completed. I took the same view nearly thirty years ago on Kodak tri x film (those were the days, I think I must have spent half my life in darkrooms).
Grand it is!
It certainly is now.
Just looked this place up…I see it’s been restored! When were your images taken?
Hi, the pictures were taken about two weeks ago. The have restored the pier walkway and the building has been renovated and now has a restaurant and I think a snack bar. There is a huge amount of building work going on all along the sea walk. It’s well worth a visit.
Just lovely. The colour, the perspective…Everything.
Thank you for the kind comment. All I seem to be taking lately is seaside piers, in the past two weeks I have photographed Brighton, Bournemouth, Penarth and Boscombe piers. At least it keeps me out of trouble.
