Thanks for the visit and comment, visited the Shard building yesterday, went to the top and luckily it was quite clear, fantastic view and very, very cold in the open view level.
Well if you do visit, wrap up warm and bring an umbrella even in the summer. Would certainly recommend the Shard but its very expensive, nearly £30.00, I think its cheaper if you book online.
IF I ever get there again, I will do it, because it didn’t happen that time thirty years ago. I did have some cucumber sandwiches at Fortnum & Mason and that was grand… 🙂 Was only there for a few days, because we travelled around there a bit … Bury St. Edmunds is a little town that stands out in my memory for some reason..
Great shot of the Shard, Ian, certainly gives you an impression of the height of it.. I thought about going to the top, but decided it was too expensive!! One day, I’ll take a peek at the online price… 🙂
Yes agree with you totally, it was a fantastic view but very expensive at £29.95, I think it was a bit cheaper if you pre booked online, if you do go try for an evening slot, the night-time view of London is supposed to be amazing.

Yeah, I would think so! Haven’t been there in thirty years … London, that is. Oh, how I’d love to see it again…

Hey you are certainly planning the Grand Tour. The Ritz now that’s quality.
